To truly know oneself is to cast off delusion.
Self-delusion hides in plain sight, fed by blind spots and cognitive biases within. To expose it requires honestly questioning even what seems most evidently true.
To avoid delusion, we must critically examine our own assumptions, vigilant against inaccuracies.
We must seek perspectives beyond our own, relinquishing attachment to beliefs that blind us. Only outside views can expose our inner darkness.
We must reflect critically on our emotions, questioning why we feel as we do. For feelings do not dictate facts.
We must compare beliefs to evidence, free of bias. Only truth stands when objectively weighted.
We must examine behaviors dispassionately, observing how we act versus who we think ourselves to be. For behavior reveals character.
We must review outcomes impartially, resisting rationalizations of failure. Only honest assessments breed wisdom.
We must scrutinize motivations with courage and honesty, revealing desires that distort reality.
For self-interest easily breeds self-deception.
We must practice ongoing self-reflection, questioning of assumptions and seeking wise counsel.
For only awareness diminishes delusions sway.
Above all, we must accept ourselves - flaws, shadows and all.
For unconditional self-regard alone breeds knowledge that cast light into dark corners of the soul, dispelling illusions that obscure truth within.
In self-knowledge lies self-mastery. And there, in that sacred space, self-delusion finds its end.
真正认识自己，就是摆脱妄想。
自我欺骗隐藏在众目睽睽之下，由内在的盲点和认知偏见助长。要揭露它，需要诚实地质疑，即使是看起来最明显真实的东西。
为了避免妄想，我们必须批判性地审视自己的假设，警惕不准确之处。
我们必须寻求超越我们自己的观点，放弃对蒙蔽我们的信仰的执着。只有外在的视角才能暴露我们内心的黑暗。
我们必须批判性地反思我们的情绪，质疑我们为什么会有这样的感觉。因为感情不能决定事实。
我们必须将信念与证据进行比较，没有偏见。只有客观加权的真理才站得住脚。
我们必须冷静地审视行为，观察我们的行为方式与我们认为自己是谁。因为行为揭示了性格。
我们必须公正地审查结果，抵制将失败合理化。只有诚实的评估才能孕育智慧。
我们必须以勇气和诚实来审视动机，揭示扭曲现实的欲望。
因为自私自利容易滋生自欺欺人。
我们必须不断进行自我反省，质疑假设并寻求明智的建议。
因为只有觉知才能减少妄想的摇摆。
最重要的是，我们必须接受自己——缺陷、阴影和一切。
因为只有无条件的自尊才能孕育知识，将光明投射到灵魂的黑暗角落，驱散掩盖内在真理的幻想。
自我认识中蕴藏着自我掌握。在那里，在那个神圣的空间里，自欺欺人找到了它的尽头。
